If you don't want to pay the price of the ammo, just keep using the rebar gun. And the rifle still outperforms the rebar gun in actual damage (by a long shot actually), so even if you would miss half your shots, you would still do more damage per second than if using the rebar gun with 100% accuracy.ģ. So no, you don't miss more because of recoil. All you get is a little visual bounce/camera shake that resets even before you fire the next shot. Check for yourself if you don't believe me. there is no effective recoil on any weapon in Satisfactory, including the rifle. I never said hitscan is a big deal, but it is undeniably easier to use than a projectile weapon that has both flight time and projectile drop.Ģ. the hitscan is also not a big deal because by the time you unlock the rifle you will have enough time with the rebar gun to where you should be able to compinsate for it just fine.ġ. It would not even be that bad if you got like 40 rounds rather than 5 per craft but the amount gained for the switch is minimal at best considering you will be missing more because of autofire.

Do not forget rebar is one of the CHEAPEST items in game period and that is what it is up against in terms of cost. There is simply no reason for the rifle ammo to cost what it does. you are forgetting the fact between those shots there is a little thing called recoil meaning you are more likely to miss a shot with the rifle rather than the single shot rebar gun. The additional ammo cost is insignificant at the time you get access to it and it completely outperforms the rebar gun in terms of actual damage while being far more comfortable to use. Originally posted by ColdFish:The rifle simply trades alpha damage for higher dps. So, no, I don't see anything wrong with the rifle.

You can even build an extremely simple setup for you to manually feed (4 input containers, 1 assembler, 1 output container)

and while there is no serious need to automate beacons for anything but the ammo, you should easily be able to siphon off a bit of your basic iron products for itĪnd as there is no need to run a manufacturer at full load when creating ammo, your effective need for the base materials is super low.Ī manufacturer running at 33% will only need 10x black powder, 10x rubber, 10x steel pipe and 1 beacon per minute and will spit out 25 shots every minute the setup is running. It is also used by Nobelisks, so you likely are messing around with it anyway Black powder just needs some sulfur and coal, which you are harvesting for compacted coal anyway if you are running a turbofuel plant. Rubber and steel pipes are used in many mid to late game items, so you should have a production line running anyway

It is also hitscan and has a higher range than the rebar.Īnd while ammo cost is higher, you should be easily able to produce the ammo at no big effort at the time you unlock the rifle. While the rebar gun sits at a meager 4.3 points/sec, the rifle does 11.5 To be fair: I mainly only use the rifle for the huge spiders and alpha spitters so ammo lasts me longer. The rifle simply trades alpha damage for higher dps. Come back and you have a huge batch of ammo or mask/suit refills.

I just drop in on hand ingredients, set it to beacons, walk away and do something else, put those beacons in an input container, drop in powder, pipes, and rubber from storage, make ammo, and go do something else while its working. As far as automation I just make the ammo in batches along with gas mask/hazmat refills in a manufacturer I have at my base connected to industrial containers for input and output. The issue is beacons, but not necessarily because they are hard to make, but because it makes no sense. Black powder for nobelisk because you need that to blow up boulders to get to slugs and the odd resource deposits. Rubber, pipes, and black powder you should have in storage already because those are all everyday useful. It's fun to use though Making it isn't hard. It's better to buy them at the awesome shop (and still.) Someone made a post about it and you need like 3 or 4 manufacturers ?!! And handcrafting them well.
